The Rationale: This task seems simple enough, but in order to accomplish it within the 1001 days, it could easily become the hardest one on my list. More explanation below.

- 1 January 2007
- Okay, to secure a passport in 1001 days I need to be a citizen of somewhere in the EU. I can’t do so in the UK, as they require that I be here for 5 years before they will consider giving me citizenship. The only real option is Germany, as Jenn is techincally already a German citizen through jus sanguine.
- 8 January 2007
- If Jenn has her German passport and we are in Germany, I can have mine within two years, so if I am to accomplish this goal, we have to move to Germany.
- 1 February 2007
- We are now seriously considering where in Germany we might want to move, though no real plans have been made. The front-runners are; Hamburg, Cologne, Dresden and Berlin
- 11 February 2007
- We have narrowed it down to Hamburg and Cologne, and are leaning heavily towards Cologne due to the proximity to Jenn’s German relations.
