The majority of what I write here is impersonal, in that it has as its subject life and society at a larger scale than merely me, though I do hope something of a unique voice shows through my muddled postings. However, having been recently inspired by Shimelle’s Learn Something Every Day idea, I have decided to start posting some slightly more personal content here for my own amusement.
So every day I am going to attempt to extract some lesson from the day, something I have learned; not necessarily quantitative data per se, but also not necessarily only mushy “life lessons” either. Perhaps it will be a mix of the two. Anyway, on to todays Lesson Learned:
One of the great attractions of living in the American South is the absolute friendliness of the vast majority of people here, of all races. To wit; the elderly woman in the grocery store yesterday who asked the bald, tattooed weirdo (me) for wine recommendations and
hoped that Jenn and I would move into the area and stay.
