Even though I'm back in the States now, I still shudder every time I think of the sad back meat that passes for Bacon in the UK. No matter how much I tried to explain it, I couldn't find a Brit that could grasp that Bacon is a very fatty slab taken from the underside of a pig. Nothing else is properly Bacon.
