What are you doing on Shutdown day?
24 March 2007 is going to be “one of the biggest global experiments ever to take place on the internet. The idea behind the experiment is to find out how many people can go without a computer for one whole day, and what will happen if we all participate!”
The point is to shut your computer(s) off for an entire day and see what kind of silliness you get up to without it.
I will definately be participating, and will probably even come up with some sort of “Closed for Shutdown Day” splash page for this website.
I would like to invite all London participants to gather around noon at the fountain in Piccadilly Circus for a low-tech pub crawl. Leave all computerized junk at home, bring cash money and manual cameras!

Hi Jon,
Many thanks for your interest in out project!
I noted your comment on our site about arranging a London pub-crawl. Great idea!
We now have a forum on the site http://forum.shutdownday.org with a section to try to arrange events in your City on Shutdown Day.
Kind regards,
Michael Taylor
