‘Twas one year ago today that I began this silliness. One year ago I dropped all pretension of “looking for a job” and began to get comfortable as a self-employed digital hustler of sorts.

In that time I have posted 782 articles containing 95,888 words (or about 119 words per post), not including book or movie reviews. Those posts have received 256 comments.

I have completely redesigned the interface of the site twice (and changed software platforms once) in an ongoing effort to create something that accurately represents what I imagine it to be. I have wrestled with every aspect of this site, in an effort to develop something more than just another blog - something representative, not derivative.

I have added 332 pictures to my photo gallery, and taken many, many more. I have begun reviewing the movies I watch and the books I read.

I have branched out into authoring other blogs and broadened the scope of my writing. I have kept right on writing through the complete upheaval of my life; selling everything and moving to another continent. I have
written quite a bit about my attempts to redefine or reframe the ways in which I understand myself.

It has been a good year, and as far as I can tell, the first of many. Thank you for reading along with me. There is much more to come.
