While it is not healthy to spend our whole lives waiting for things to happen, and in doing so miss everything that is going on, a certain amount of anticipation is natural, and healthy. Towards that end, here are thirteen things I am currently looking forward to or awaiting:

  1. Utensils: Knives and a pot from Tony should be arriving soon, right Tony?
  2. Teapot: Green 6-cup Chatsford ordered online last week
  3. Moleskine City Notebook: London edition, of course
  4. Books: One from Canada, one from Australia, both by Bertrand Russell
  5. Email: Google still hasn’t done anything
  6. Tax Refund: From my amended 2005 return
  7. Winter: I’m ready to see some snow!
  8. November 11: The Dropkick Murphys play London
  9. November 17: The satellite company gets around to installing our dish…
  10. NHS: As of next Thursday I will have a national insurance number, so I can finally work, and get into school.
  11. Geek Dinner: Tomorrow at The Bottlescrue with Molly Holzschlag
  12. Visitors: Before Christmas, maybe. Immediately afterwards, definately!
  13. Next Week: Jen has the whole week off for mid-term break!

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

I wish there was snow here. Then again, I’d probably freeze to death.

It’s always fun waiting for money, but it is more fun actually getting it! :)

Is everyone having email problems. BellSouth.net would not send or receive mail for me almost all day on Tuesday!

It looks like everyone is waiting for Winter to begin. I tell you, having grown up in the mountains (of North Carolina) and having lived at the beach for the last five years, I am completely ready for some snow…

I had to take my glasses OFF to find out where the comments were ! I think you are quite modest in your list. Waiting for winter ? Grrrr, I wished I were a bear and could put myself in a grotto to sleep this horrible time and only come out when it’s spring again !

I was waiting for “Miss Right” and then I found her. I soon discovered her first name was “Always” so it didn’t work out. I hope you have better luck with the things you are waiting for.

And Thanks for stopping by my T13.

I’ve already seen snow this week. The rain washed it away in the afternoons, but for 3 days running (Sun through Tues) I woke up to see snow in my backyard ;(

You’re still waiting for you tax returns? Why is it that we have deadlines we have to follow with the IRS and they don’t?

@Susan: Thanks! I actually have heard from Google now - they shut the account down.

@Kailani: I am still waiting on my amended return, which I filed about a month ago….
