…and suddenly, everything changes.

Posts have been light around here recently because I have been preoccupied with trying to arrange, on very short notice, our impending move to London. Regular readers will be aware that we have been actively searching for somewhere to move. Well, the search is over. Due to a strange chain of events, we will be moving to London as of the 16th of August.

Jenn has found a position teaching at The Gray’s School Media Arts College and it looks as if I will be able to dust off my toque blanche and get back in the kitchen, working for none other than Gordon Ramsey. Lodgings should be secured by the end of next week, and we are frantically packing ahead of the workmen coming to paint and touch up the house so that it can go on the market next week. (Anyone want a nice two-bedroom in Myrtle Beach, SC at under market value?)

So far we have learned that nothing will make you question how much you like your stuff like the prospect of shipping it across an ocean. Let’s just say that the culling has become brutal. Speaking of which, I must get back to it if we expect to stick to our timetable. More soon.
