Tonight is the first time in the Stanley Cup finals that my beloved Carolina Hurricanes can win it all - for the first time in their history, so I am a bit distracted, to say the least!

Tomorrow morning I leave town for the Bonnaroo music festival in TN. Also, anyone who is interested in going but doesn’t have a ticket, leave a comment or email me - I have one extra that I will sell at face value (The festival is sold out!). I will check here for answers until midnight tonight, after which I’m outta here. Arrangements can be made to get the ticket to you in Manchester (meeting at the bus station is easy)

I will be back on the 19th, and I will not be posting from there, so it will be a bit quiet around here for the rest of the week. See you then!

Verily, and it was written, the Deep South shall not rise up against the strange speakers from the North and win their game.

Bad news first… looks like your ‘Canes players have figured out that it is NOT possible to play hockey with both hands wrapped around their own throat. The good news is that you’ll get to watch them lose game 7.

Bwahahaha! Shows what you know … and before you start in about NBC ratings - that is a straw man argument since the league (and almost every individual team) is profitable for the first time in decades, not to mention NBC saying that they had broken even on the playoffs before the conference championships…
