As of today, I will be posting every single penny we spend, for at least one month, so that you folks can help me find the leaks in our money plan. Every morning, I will post a “Daily Spending Report” for the previous day, and explain (or otherwise attempt to justify) what we spent the day before.

I will also, in the same post, give a run-down of any “extra” income I have generated, and actions we have taken to better our financial position.

May 23, 2006

  • Spending: $0.00
    • No purchases made
  • Income: $0.00
    • No income deposited
  • Action Taken:
    • 2005 income taxes filed - large return expected
    • New budget created - we took a month of real spending and adjusted our budget to see where our money was going.

Well, day one of this little experiment is pretty boring. Actually, I am hoping we have many more boring days like this :)
