Now that I am out of the rat race, without anyone else’s agenda driving me, it has come time for me to start setting some goals for myself. I have been doing a lot of reading on goal-setting, and while it took a lot of effort to seperate the useful from the sophistry, I beleve that I have found something that may work for me.

First off, I am going to make my goals public. By sharing them with you, you can help keep me on the right track. So I am going to, every Monday, review my goals and post my progress, or lack thereof, for all to see. And to kick things off, here are a couple of goals I have right now:

  • I am going to replace my previous salary with income derived from a work-from-home situation by the middle of 2007.
  • I am going to sell my house for an obscene profit by the end of 2007.

Over the next week, I will be working on fleshing out the imtermediate steps necessary to accomplish these. For this week, I think it’s enough to have stuck my neck out.
