We are realists in a world of dreamers, and we are quick to anger when we take our own dreaming too seriously. We have within us too much of the poet’s realism and too little of the businessman’s dreaming to easily be accept(ed|ing) or aclimated into the world we have chosen to inhabit for most of the last decade.

We want to sing and to dance. We want to make love amidst the tall grass and to lie on the sand and fear the awesome power of the sea. We dream of running with wolves, of cooking with friends, or arguing and laughing and crying and being drunk.

We have no innate desire to be powerful or famous (though *in*famous might be fun…) We do not wish for money or things or praise. We wish to live, and we distrust anything that does not further our desire to live, or that attempts to complicate our living.

Like Chung Cho we take very seriously and hold very dear those things which those who are around us now take very lightly, or do not consider at all. So, we must not take seriously those things that they place so much emphasis on. We feel trapped in this place, this life, that glorifies the Soldier and villifies the old Vagabond; for we are not Soldiers, we are Vagabonds.
